I’m putting together a Jam Session at Flower Ave Urban Park on Friday May 22nd from 4-6pm! The Longbranch Mainstreet Revitalization program put out a call for buskers so I signed up and I plan to invite the community out to play with me. I’ll be setting up a small busking amp and a single mic to circle around, and I intend to share the space with anyone who wants to come out and play a tune.
I love putting together these jam sessions in the community because it’s an opportunity to really connect with neighbors and friends. Music is an art form that creates community by inviting listeners to participate. Whether you are singing, strumming along, taking an instrumental solo, dancing, or just clapping to the beat, you are part of a moment in time that we are creating together. So come out to the Flower Ave Urban Park at 8746 Flower Ave on Friday May 22nd between 4 and 6pm and enjoy the day.
I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention that the park is just across from El Golfo, one of my favorite restaurants in Silver Spring.
